Panorama Physician Training Doctor from Ukraine in ACL Reconstruction

An orthopedic physician from Ukraine has returned to the US for more specialty training. Dr. Orest Lomnytsky will be training with the physicians at Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center for 3 weeks to learn how to perform ACL reconstructions back in his home country. Dr. Mitchell Seemann of Panorama has already trained Dr. Lomnytsky in arthroscopic knee surgeries and helped establish a clinic at the Medical University of Lviv, in Lviv , Ukraine.

"When I asked Dr. Seemann for his assistance, he was more than willing, and I learned a great deal from him," said Dr. Lomnytsky, who first came to the US in 1997 to train with Dr. Seemann after meeting him through a colleague who now lives in the US.

"It is a real thrill to be able to educate and assist physicians around the world and to help establish much needed clinics," said Dr. Seemann, who specializes in Sports Medicine and knee and shoulder injuries. "As technology and procedures become more effective and efficient, training becomes a key factor in achieving the best results."

Physicians in Ukraine have always suffered from lack of training facilities and, more importantly, skilled physicians to train them. By teaming up with Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center, Dr. Lomnytsky will be able to return home with the skills and confidence needed to help his patients get back on their feet again.
