More About Spine Department

Hospital Affiliations Our care for spinal cord injury patients is facilitated by our close association with Craig Rehabilitation Hospital (a premier nationally renown spinal cord injury rehabilitation center). Patients admitted to St. Anthony Central Hospital with spinal fractures with spinal cord injury are concurrently evaluated by Craig Rehabilitation Hospital during the patient's acute hospital stay. With this association we are able to provide an inimitable continuity of care. Our care involves weekly rounds at Craig Rehabilitation Hospital to assist with the orthopedic needs of the chronic spinal cord injury patients.

Commitment to Education We also have a strong commitment to academics contributing to the education of local physicians, nurses and therapists through our annual Spine Symposium, monthly journal clubs and fellowship training program. Ongoing research projects include numerous clinical studies looking at surgical outcomes, as well as involvement in FDA studies evaluating total facet joint replacement and artificial cervical disc replacement.
