Jim Sapp (Total Knee Replacement)
Thanks to Panorama Orthopedics and Dr. Morley's skills when
replacing my right knee on October 12th. I was able to enter the
Senior Winter Games four months later.
The event was on February 12th. 2007 and my goal was to place
in the top 5 in the giant slalom. The
racing skills came back much better than I expected. I ended up winning the
gold medal in giant slalom and also a bronze medal in the rallye race. One of the fun events was the obstacle race,
where we skied around, under and over obstacles, the photo shows me stepping
high over the cross bar with my new right knee.
Dr. Morley's surgical skills and great physical therapy allowed me to have a fast recovery. He chose the best knee for me, allowing for a quick recovery and very few fears about the stability of my new knee. Dr. Morley OK'ed me skiing in early January. I was surprised how fast skiing skills came back to me. I was able to be competitive much sooner than I thought. Also I am a ski guide at Loveland and Winter Park for Over the Hill Gang International, a 6,000 member ski club. I was able to resume my ski guiding in early January. So thanks again to Panorama and Dr. Morley.
