Douglas J. Straehley, MD, a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, specializes in reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine injuries. Dr. Straehley received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. He then completed a combined internship at Presbyterian Medical Centers and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado as well as his residency at the University of Colorado. Dr. Straehley also completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and reconstructive surgery of the knee under Dr. Martin E. Blazina. From 1980 to 1987, he was a member and co-captain of the U.S. National Rugby Team, and later served as their team physician.
