Courtney W. Brown, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. He served a mixed surgical internship and an orthopedic residency at St. Luke's Hospital in New York.

Very active in the medical community, Dr. Brown is the founding president of the Colorado Orthopedic Society. He serves on the Board of Directors and is past president of the Scoliosis Research Society, former president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Western Orthopedic Association, former chairman of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' Committee on Rehabilitation and a spine consultant to the US Olympic Ski Team.

Dr. Brown has specialized in spinal problems for more 35 years and has a special interest in scoliosis, kyphosis, myelodysplasia, spinal stenosis, spine fractures and spinal cord injuries. Dr. Brown serves on the Spine Universe Editorial Board. Click here to visit his Spine Universe web page.
