Medical icon Dean Levesque, PA-C

After growing up in Southington, Connecticut, Dean attended Central Connecticut State University for his undergraduate degree in sports medicine. For three years, he worked locally as an athletic trainer providing care to collegiate and high school athletes in a variety of sports. Treating athletic injuries alongside orthopedic PAs fueled his desire to provide more comprehensive care to patients. This led Dean to further his education by obtaining a master’s degree as a physician assistant at Northeastern University in Boston.

Dean’s PA career began at a general orthopedic practice in North Carolina where he treated issues ranging from joint replacement to trauma to sports medicine. He subsequently transitioned back to sports medicine at Moore Orthopedics in South Carolina. In this role, he assisted his supervising surgeon as team physician for South Carolina State University athletes while continuing to treat members of local high schools and the community.

Through his experience, Dean appreciated the integral role of minimally invasive surgery and its impact in an active population. He relocated to Colorado to join Jared Foran, MD who specializes in minimally invasive joint replacement. Dean has worked alongside Dr. Foran in and out of the operating room since 2017 and they have developed a close relationship in their treatment of patients. Dean now works in a clinic-based position to offer better access to Dr. Foran’s team. He is available to see new patients who are interested in an evaluation for non-operative and surgical intervention for a variety of knee and hip diagnoses. His presence in clinic five days a week allows for quick care for acute and chronic knee and hip pain.

In his free time, Dean enjoys camping with his wife and two dogs, cooking and golfing. And when the opportunity arises, he is always up for a vacation to the beach.
