Shira grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as an avid, but accident prone, athlete. This resulted in multiple stints in physical rehab which ultimately led to her interest in healing through movement. She graduated from Alverno College with a BA in Theatre and Dance in 2020, and worked in a variety of unique and interesting environments for a couple of years. She returned to school and obtained her AS in Occupational Therapy from Pima Medical Institute in 2023.
Shira worked at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Denver before she joined the US Army Reserves as an Occupational Therapy Specialist specializing in Combat Operational Stress Control. She has a passion for holistic and individualized care rooted in evidence based practice.
In her free time, Shira can often be found painting, kickboxing, going to concerts, or hiking with her wife and their three dogs.
