Meet Joshua Shapiro, M.D.

Dr. Joshua Shapiro is an orthopedic surgeon at Panorama Orthopedics who specializes in hip and knee arthritis, focusing on total and partial knee replacements and total hip replacements using a minimally invasive direct anterior approach. He also has expertise in complex revisions of hip and knee replacements and utilizes the latest techniques including computer-navigated surgery.

Growing up in Colorado, Dr. Shapiro understands patients’ desires to return to active lifestyles and provides personalized care tailored to each individual’s goals. He works collaboratively with patients and always maximizes non-surgical treatment options before discussing surgical interventions.

Dr. Shapiro’s patient care philosophy centers on comprehensive treatment planning. His research focuses on improving outcomes by reducing opioid use, optimizing nutrition prior to surgery, and advancing same-day discharge protocols following joint replacement. “His favorite days in the office are when he sees patients that he has treated that are smiling and pain free,” reflecting his commitment to meaningful patient outcomes.

Outside of the office, Dr. Shapiro enjoys spending time with his wife and three children hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
