Meet Nimesh Patel, M.D.

Dr. Nimesh Patel is a Harvard-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon focusing on orthopedic trauma, hip preservation and total joint replacement. He specializes in complex cases including pelvic and acetabular fractures, malunions, non-unions, intra-articular fractures, and both primary and revision hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Patel’s expertise is particularly valuable in Colorado, where he frequently treats unique injuries from skiing, rock climbing, and biking accidents. He handles high-energy trauma from falls, motorcycle accidents, and multiple system injuries, as well as complicated fractures involving previous joint replacements. His comprehensive training allows him to work on all areas of the body rather than just one specialty area.

Dr. Patel rejects a one-size-fits-all approach to orthopedics, believing everyone has different goals. He takes time to listen to patients and understand what they hope to achieve, then tailors treatment plans accordingly. “Each injury is like its own puzzle,” he explains. “The goal is fitting together all the pieces to get the x-ray to look correct and allow the person to get back to a normal, pre-injury lifestyle.”

Dr. Patel is married with four young boys and enjoys playing soccer every Sunday, hiking 14ers, skiing with his family, and cooking as a self-proclaimed “foodie.”
