Panorama Receives A Five-Star Rating For Patient Satisfaction

Posted on June 3, 2015

Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center is proud to announce OrthoColorado Hospital is among the top 7 percent of hospitals nationwide to achieve the highest rating possible – five-stars – for patient satisfaction in a new report released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Like Panorama, OrthoColorado only treats orthopedic patients, and that focus means patients receive the best specialty care in the best environment. Every detail of OrthoColorado — from patient rooms to surgical suites — was designed to promote healing and meet the unique needs of orthopedic patients. All of this translates into unparalleled service, which was reflected in the survey.

The ratings, which were released in April 2015, are based on data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey (HCAHPS) and are reported on CMS’ Hospital Compare website. The survey measures patients’ perspectives of hospital care and includes topics like:

  • How well nurses and doctors communicated with patients
  • How responsive hospital staff were to patient needs
  • How clean and quiet hospital environments were
  • How well patients were prepared for post-hospital settings

“We’re proud of this accomplishment because it shows that our focus on service is really paying off,” said Eric Worthan, CEO of Panorama Orthopedics. “This is just a reflection of what our staff and our team try to deliver to patients every day.”

Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center has been a trusted provider of orthopedic care in metro Denver for more than 70 years, as well as a pioneer in finding the best ways to serve patients. This has meant everything from providing highly coordinated and integrated care to working more closely with hospitals and other providers –sometimes under the same roof.

The Hospital Compare ratings are just one example of a tool designed to help consumers make informed health care decisions. In Colorado, patients can use comedprice.org to access comparative price and quality information.

“Our vision is to create the best value for our patients, and that means providing the highest-quality care in the most efficient way possible,” Worthan said. “As we work toward national standards that create transparency for consumers, this is a step in the right direction.”
